茶の湯と切っても切り離せない関係にある「銘」。

季節を大事にする心やおもてなしの気持ちが込められ、日本独自の習慣・行事も学べる「銘」は、英語で茶の湯を説明する際に最適なトピックでもあります。

本書では、裏千家学園で海外の研修生に茶の湯を教えてきた著者が、茶の湯の銘をバイリンガル表記で紹介。ひとつの銘につき3 5文程度のシンプルな解説で読みやすく、海外の方に説明する際はそのまま読んでも伝わります。
