Interdisciplinary Conference Series on Reasoning Studies, Vol. 2

This symposium was planned and organized as a part of the collaborative project between the Ecole Normale Superieure, Paris, and Keio University.
The Department of Cognitive Studies at the Ecole Normale Superieure and the Center of Integrated Research on the Mind(CIRM) at Keio University took the initiatives in planning and organizing it.
This Volume provides an almost comprehensive perspective of multifarious aspects of the contemporary research on reasoning and cognition and consists of the following four parts:

　1 Human Reasoning and Inference Studies;
　2 Philosophical and Psychological Foundations of Reasoning and Cognition;
　3 Brain Science and Comparative Studies of Reasoning and Cognition;
　4 Engineering and Information-Theoretic Aspects of Reasoning and Cognition;
