宮中の盆栽大道庭園の四季　Bonsai in the Imperial Palace~The enchanting four seasons of the Ohmichi Garden

皇居の一角に大道庭園と呼ばれる盆栽の仕立て場がある。
　　国賓をもてなす黒松の古木、樹齢600年におよぶ真柏など、
　　大道庭園では宮中行事に用いられる盆栽が大切に管理されている。
　　それら貴重な盆栽の四季折々の姿を美しい写真で紹介。
　　一般公開されていない、まさに生きた文化遺産ともうべき銘品は必見！


At the Imperial Palace, there is a Bonsai Garden called “Ohmichi Garden”.

When there are Their Majesties' New Year Reception, State Banquets and other functions at the Imperial Palace, masterpiece bonsai will be displayed from their bonsai collection.



Usually, the Imperial Bonsai Collection is kept at the Imperial Palace and we are not able to admire the bonsai.

In this book we would like to introduce you to some of the Collection masterpiece bonsai, in the four seasons.

Bonsai is considered a living art, and we are going to introduce you to some of their finest from the Imperial Bonsai collection.
