Chemistry can provide all citizens with essential information, including such as how to properly preserve the earth environment. Chemistry education consists of two components, one is to get students to acquire the established theories and facts based on fundamental resources and the other is to get them to deeply understand their knowledge through laboratory practices.
　One of the authors was involved in improving chemistry education in Cambodia and recognized the difficulties and productivities of carrying out laboratory practices in developing countries. This book was created with the dual purpose of inspiring young students, including students in developing countries: to get skilled with laboratory practices and to develop English ability through learning chemistry. This book is usable in high school as well as university.
　This third edition is an improved result of the first version in 2004 and the second version in 2010. The contents consist of two parts and twelve experiments are described after the instruction for laboratory practices.
